The 4th Session of the 4th Council and Standing Council, and the 4th Board of Superiors, World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies, was held in Xi´an
 
The 4th Session of the 4th Council and Standing Council, and the 4th Board of Superiors, World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies, was held in Xi′an on June 16. Nearly 100 members of the Council and the Board of Supervisors from more than 20 countries and regions, including Australia, Brazil, France, Korea, the Netherlands, Canada, Malaysia, the United States, Namibia, South Africa, Japan, Thailand, Spain, Singapore, New Zealand, Hungary, Indonesia, China and Hong Kong (China). The meeting was president by Mr. Sang Binsheng, Vice Chairperson and Secretary-General of WFCMS.

Mr. Ma Jianzhong, Chairperson of WFCMS reviewed the work since the 3rd Session of the 4th Council and the Board of Supervisors, including: (1) Strengthening the organization building and tamping the foundation of development of WFCMS; (2) Taking academic leadership as the core and focusing on building a first-class platform of academic exchange; (3) Taking the expansion of influence as a breakthrough and vigorously strengthening the building of journals and of information networks; (4) Steadily promoting the standardization of Chinese medicine building with the output of results as the symbol; (5) Focusing on improving ability and continuously expanding the work of international talent cultivation; (6) Actively strengthening exchanges and cooperation with international organizations with the promotion of dialogue as the key;

He proposed that we should deeply grasp the development situation and overall requirements of WFCMS. We will continue to strengthen organization and capacity building, and take the satisfaction of members as the main criterion for measuring work. We will continue to enhance my attraction, cohesiveness and influence to membership societies, and rely on global member societies to promote communication and development of Chinese medicine with high quality.

Mr. Ma Jianzhong stressed that the global celebration of 1st World Chinese Medicine Day will be held in 2019. He put forward six suggestions for the next step: (1) We must adhere to academic leadership and promote the international communication of Chinese medicine; (2) We must promote standardization and promote scientific and technological innovation in Chinese medicine; (3) We must enrich the content of exams, assessment and training and promote the training of Chinese medicine talents; (4) We must comprehensively accelerate information building and strengthen membership services; (5) We must help with the implementation of “Belt and Road Initiative”, promoting the development of Chinese medicine trade in service; (6) We must strengthen the cooperation with international organizations and deeply participate in global health governance.

Roman Maria Calduch (Spain), President of Board of Supervisors WFCMS, Vice Chairperson of the European Foundation of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Spain served as the chairman of the voting supervisory group for the hosting venue of the 17th World Congress of Chinese Medicine and read out the voting arrangement.

The meeting reviewed and passed Report on the Compilation of Specifications for International Chinese Medicine Remote Consultation Service, Report on International Chinese Medicine Telemedicine Service Standards Compilation and International Standard Chinese-Portuguese Basic Nomenclature of Chinese medicine (Revision).

The meeting debriefed World Chinese Medicine Online Service Platform Construction Plan and Project Implementation Plan, Promotion of World Chinese Medicine Intelligent Service Cloud Platform (Xuanhu Station), World Electronic Trading Service Platform of Genuine Chinese Herbal Medicines (Prepared Slices), the introduction of Program of Activities for the First Anniversary of World Chinese Medicine Day, as well as Report on Standard Work of Chinese Medicine International Organization WFCMS.
 
Ni Rong, Senior Vice President and Chief Executive Officer of Wedoctor Group gave report Promotion of World Chinese Medicine Intelligent Service Cloud Platform (Xuanhu Station).
 
Wang Chunlu, President of the Chinese Herbal Medicine Distribution Industry Branch of WFCMS gave report on World Electronic Trading Service Platform of Genuine Chinese Herbal Medicines (Prepared Slices).
 
Wang Jing, Director of Department of International Liaison of WFCMS gave report on Program of Activities for the First Anniversary of World Chinese Medicine Day.
 
Wang Lili, Director of Department of International Standard gave report on World Electronic Trading Service Platform of Genuine Chinese Herbal Medicines (Prepared Slices).
 
Shu Yachun, Director of Jiangsu Provincial Hospital of Chinese Medicine Health Industry Office gave report on Report on the Compilation of Specifications for International Chinese Medicine Remote Consultation Service.
 
Zhang Li, Director of Jiangsu Provincial Hospital of Chinese Medicine Teaching Office gave report on International Chinese Medicine Telemedicine Service Standard Compilation.
 
Dr.Reginaldo Filho (Brazil), Executive Committee Member of the Presidiums of WFCMS and President of the Brazilian College of Chinese Medicine gave report on International standard Chinese-Portuguese Basic Nomenclature of Chinese medicine (Revision).
 
Rodrigo Lemes (Brazil), Cienlabor Industria e Comércio Ltda (Taimin) introduced Sao Paulo, Brazil , bidding place of the 17th World Conference on Traditional Chinese Medicine.
 
Fung Jiu (Hong Kong, China), Executive Committee Member of WFCMS and Permanent President of Hong Kong Registered Chinese Medicine Practitioners Association introduced Hong Kong, China, bidding place of the 17th World Congress of Chinese Medicine.

Chairperson Ma Jianzhong announced the results of the voting at the host of the 17th World Congress of Chinese Medicine. The 17th World Congress of Chinese Medicine will be held in Hong Kong China, The 18th World Congress of Chinese Medicine will be held in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Teo Eng Kiat (Singapore),Vice Chairperson of the WFCMS and President of The Singapore Chinese Physicians Association attended the meeting.
 
Sun Qingfu (South Africa), Vice Chairperson of the WFCMS and President of Southern Africa Traditional Chinese Medicine Academy attended the meeting.
 
Zhu Miansheng (France), Vice Chairman of the WFCMS, Chairman of the European Federation of Chinese Medicine Experts and the President of Spatiotemporal Acupuncture and Moxibustion Research in Paris, attended the meeting.
 
Zhang Yi (South Africa), Vice Chairperson of the WFCMS and Vice President of SA Association of Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture attended the meeting.
 
Lin Rongsheng (USA), Vice Chairperson of the WFCMS, former President of American Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine & United Alliance of New York State Licensed Acupuncture and Chairman of the Board of ACMIPA attended the meeting.
 
Wu Binjiang (Canada), Vice Chairperson of the WFCMS and President of Ontario College of Traditional Chinese Medicine attended the meeting.
