Meeting Notice of The First Annual Academic Meeting of The Working Committee For Promoting The Regulation of Chinese Medicine of WFCMS
(2017 Nanjing)

Dear experts, colleagues and friends:


On December 25, 2016, the Twelfth National People´s Congress Standing Committee at its twenty-fifth meeting approved Law of the People’s Republic of China on Traditional Chinese Medicine, set to take effect on July 1, 2017. Law On TCM pinpoints the important position, developing guidelines and supportive measures of TCM in China legally for the first time, and it provides the development of TCM with legal protection. Taking the opportunity of the enactment of Law On TCM to promote the legislative experience of Law On TCM is of great importance for promoting the overseas spread and development of TCM, deepening cooperation with WHO, ISO etc. and creating an enabling environment for overseas development of TCM.
To study, discuss, communicate and promote the experience in the area of TCM legislation in China and solve the legislative problems in TCM internationalization, and to further TCM modernization and internationalization, the First Annual Academic Meeting of The Working Committee For Promoting The Regulation of Chinese Medicine of WFCMS, organized by The Working Committee For Promoting The Regulation of Chinese Medicine of WFCMS and hosted by Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine, will be held in Nanjing, Jiang Su Province, China 12th-13th of October, 2017.
Meeting details are as follows:


1. Meeting Theme:
This meeting focuses on China’s experience of bringing traditional medicine into the national health system and its legal and policy support. Discussions would be on the enactment and influence of Law of the People’s Republic of China on Traditional Chinese Medicine, the practical experience of bringing TCM service into China’s health system, the status quo of TCM legislation in the world to provide experience and lessons for the legislation of TCM globally.


2. Participants:
Those who work in the areas of medicine, education, scientific research and management of TCM, traditional medicine and modern medicine, determined to promote the legislation of TCM.


3.Meeting Languages Available: Chinese and English
